Entrance Hall, a view looking up into the decorative plaster dome and lantern that provides indirect lighting to the oval staircase. This architectural feature is a tour-de-force of architectural design and technology, and represents the exceptional ability of the New York architect to whom the house is attributed, Minard Lafever [1798-1854].
